theory That's the theory. Ask Irgun, Hagganah ... nothing theoretical about their victory for Israel Reply
The Wonders of G-D The amazing thing about living a life as G-D directs is every day is a day of G-D's miracles and wonders. G-D's wonders and miracles are amazing and HE does this so that we will believe in HIM, even is the times of trials so that we will see HIS wonders and miracles and remember HE will never leave us or forsake us in our times of troubles for HE remains the same to us always. A Simple Miracle Many years ago, my mom needed me to do some repairs around her home remove the cement bricks around it & plant grass for her. The instructions said the grass needed to be watered for 7 days. I lived far away (3 hour trip) and couldn't take off the week. She couldn't manage this herself & she lived in a community with only older people who couldn't help her do this task either. It was summer and it didn't seem likely that there would be much rain. Her simple wish for grass required a miracle. So what happened? It rained every day for 7 days, enough for the grass seed to sprout. She called me the following weekend, happily exclaiming, "You won't believe this, it rained every day this week! The grass is beginning to grow!" My mom evidently lived a supernatural life. Now, many years later, your words give me the understanding of this. Reply
Beyond the Iron Wall Can you exert yourself for zero benefit? Can you love a stranger? The 'Self' stands guard at the iron wall. To move above your nature is the miracle - only a demmand to the Operator will raise you above your programmed mentality. Reply
extraordinary Rabbi Freeman, thank you for the explanation you wrote -- it's a phenomenal feeling that an every day person like myself can do extraordinary things!!!! Reply
Be a miracle After having been reared in the fleshly systems and having seen the appalling results of the carnal nature now it's time to move on to the miraculous supernatural where God is operational full time and unlimited. That's where it all originates anyway! Reply
Some explanation
A miracle is when G-d does something extraordinary. Every day, He lifts the sun above the horizon, carries mist across vast continents to water the earth, orders the particles of the atom and breathes life into every organism. Each receives just the energy it needs and is carefully led through a script tailored to its parameters.
Yet once in a while, G-d peeps out from behind His veil of consistent order, bending the rules somewhat, going beyond the ordinary, beyond nature
You too can go beyond the ordinary and beyond your nature. You might not be a nice guy by nature, but you can do an act of supreme niceness to someone needy anyways. You may not be the kind of person that likes to study, but you can sit and study Torah twice a day for half an hour nevertheless. Those will be your miracles, your acts beyond nature, and G-d will mimic with His miracles beyond nature.

To lead a supernatural life is to follow (or to lead) the drama of our lives based on Torah. On its characters, on its declared and undeclared (mystic) stories, on its protocol, on its clues, on its examples, on its ethics, on its poetry....
It is to deny temporal patterns as liberalism, democracy, socialism, parliamentarism, or what ever else at our disposal that are created by human attempts at ordering life and not by G-ds Manual.
To live a supernatural life, I think, is learning G-d's religion and applying it to our everyday life.

One leads a supernatural (I call it suprarational) life by believing in Hashem as the only operative power in the Universe---the only One responsible for outcomes whether we like the immediate results or not. We believe that everything bar none is for our ultimate benefit, and we try to find the silver lining even in events that may not be pleasant. Hashem only does good, and eventually over time and with patience we often see that what looked not good was actually for our benefit. Hashem is omniscient, omnipotent, compassionate, and our job is to see His hand in the mundane day-to-day workings of our lives. By talking to Him every day, praying to Him, studying His Torah, giving charity, contributing to the goodness in the world, putting on tefillin for men, and lighting Shabbat candles for women among other mitzvot, reading psalms etc., we lead a "supernatural" life. When we communicate with G-d daily and put him front & center, we develop spiritual awareness to see miracles unfold. Reply

This means to let go of our efforts and our belief that we have control over anything.
Why? Because we think we are our bodies, which actually are only capable of imagination, stimulated by memories of our own or others.
Back in Gan Eden, the Creator was guiding Adam, but after the “fall”, he didn’t have any direct connection, only invisible guidance. The guidance is the Truth, but to the memory or imagination of what was told him, is 2nd hand. Unfortunately humans identify with the memory as part of our consciousness.
The actual Self, not yours or you, is Infinite Consciousness, doing everything that is done.
