Greetings and blessings,

It was with satisfaction that I received your letter of Motzaei Shabbos, the ninth of this month, in which you inform [me] of your successful arrival in Canada and your beginning to establish yourself. May it be the will of the Master of wills, G‑d, that you establish yourself in an appropriate way both materially and spiritually, that you will be able to establish fixed times for the study of the revealed dimension of Torah law (nigleh) and the teachings of Chassidus amidst abundance and peace of mind and peace of body, and that you also add strength in the area of tzedakah.

It is not a worthwhile [idea], however, to wait until you have completely established yourself before setting aside fixed times [for Torah study]. For the Torah, and in particular, studying the Torah at fixed times, is the medium to draw down, and the medium to receive, both material and spiritual goodness. The faster one makes this medium, the faster blessings will come. The greater one makes this medium, the greater will be the blessings that are drawn down and the more they will be received.

The mishloach manos — a full bottle of Benedictine — was duly received. Thank you for it.

Enclosed is the kuntres for the Pesach holiday and communal letter1 that is relevant to you. I will conclude with blessings for a kosher and happy Pesach holiday and that you establish yourself properly both materially and spiritually in the near future.

Greetings to all those who seek our welfare,
