Greetings and blessings,
I was informed that you are not feeling in good health and are suffering from ailments in your legs. With this, I am sending you my blessings for good health in general and your ailments in particular. I hope that you will be able to share good tidings concerning this.
You are certainly aware of what is stated in [Tanya,] Iggeres HaKodesh, Epistle 1, that faith is referred to as the loins and the legs that support the entire body. Behold, the Pesach holiday is fast approaching. [Concerning that holiday, it is said:]1 “In the merit of faith, our ancestors were redeemed from Egypt.” Therefore [on Pesach] we eat matzah that is “the bread of faith”2 and it adds strength to the faith of the entire Jewish people.
Since the body and soul of a Jewish person are interconnected (see the kuntres published for the Pesach holiday),3 both the body and the soul receive nurture from matzah which is the bread of faith. In particular, this applies both to one’s physical and spiritual loins. I wish you a speedy recovery.
With blessings for a kosher and happy Pesach holiday and that you settle [into your surroundings] well in both material and spiritual matters.
Enclosed is the kuntres for the Pesach holiday and communal letter4 that is relevant to you.
