Greetings and blessings,
Your letter of the 4th of Shvat and the list [of names] were duly received. I read them at the gravesite of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, to arouse great mercies for their needs.
With regard to your question about immigrating to Canada because you are not being granted an entrance visa to the US at present and by applying to [Canada], your right to also apply to the US afterwards is not impaired: According to the above, there are no conflicting factors involved at all; [hence,] may [your application] be successful.
That said, in general, the members of our brotherhood should consider immigration to Australia, because according to the information coming from there, it is a prosperous land and there is hope that, with G‑d’s help, a center for Chassidus will be established there. The faster more members of our brotherhood settle there, the faster that center will be built and improved and the spreading of the wellsprings of Chassidus there [will be advanced]. It would be appropriate that those individuals who do not yet require a yeshivah for their children should immigrate there and this will lead to both material and spiritual well-being.
You have, no doubt, already received the kuntres for Purim and the accompanying letter1 and have shared them with others in an appropriate manner.
With blessings that you will share good tidings, and with greetings to the entire fellowship,
