Greetings and blessings,

I received your telegram and I thank you for the good wishes which you communicated therein.1

I was especially pleased by your expression of hope that [everything] that my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, 2זצוקללה"ה, נבג"ם, זי"ע ועכ"י established will continue with success.

It is self-understood that in order for this work to continue successfully, it is necessary that these [activities be supported by] the efforts of people who have influence in broader Jewish circles. In particular, this applies to the members of the chassidic brotherhood who merited to be close to these efforts and to whom my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, זצ"ל,3 showed the way to fulfill the task and mission of his soul.

Accordingly, I hope that you will continue to give your full efforts in actual deed so that each one of us and all of us together can continue the work of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, זצ"ל, in strengthening Yiddishkeit and spreading Torah in general and the teachings of Chassidus in particular.

With blessing to you and all the members of your household for [both] material and spiritual good.

Menachem Schneerson
