Greetings and blessings,

In response to your letter of 17 Teves which was received after a delay: Yesterday, I sent a telegram to the chassidic communal leader, R. Ben Tzion Shemtov, saying: “Please convey my blessing to ... that everything should proceed in an ordinary manner and easily, and that you should convey good news. With blessing.”

When I visit the gravesite of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, זצוקללה"ה, נבג"ם, זי"ע, הכ"מ, tomorrow, on the day of his coming hillula, I will mention you and your wife for [blessings for everything] you need. And the tzaddik who has departed, who is found in this world more than during his lifetime,1 will certainly grant his blessing, and G‑d will fulfill it, in both material and spiritual matters. In particular, [this applies] on the day of the yahrzeit-hillula of that tzaddik as he wrote in his letter concerning such a matter:2

Anash3and the students, the temimim,4and all those who participate in the paths of the chassidim and Chassidus:all of you, stand prepared, you, your wives, your sons, and your daughters, to receive G‑d’s blessings — the outpouring of life, plentiful sustenance, and satisfaction from your descendants — that G‑d will pour out to you and to us through the arousal of abundant mercies from the source of true mercy and kindness, [following a motif similar to that implied by the hymn] Machnisei Rachamim,5 which my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, whose hillula is being celebrated, will arouse. May you be blessed with children, health, and abundant sustenance.

May it be G‑d’s will that in the very near future you inform me of good news.

With blessing, awaiting good news,

Menachem Schneerson
