Greetings and blessings,

I am well aware of the extent to which my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, cherished the devoted work of the chassidic mentor, R. Zalman Tuvia [Abelsky], when he was in a dangerous and difficult place.1

You, certainly, have no need to be motivated from me in such a situation to provide help and assistance to him in general and with regard to his settling [in Eretz Yisrael] now in particular.

Nevertheless, since our Sages say:2 “Encouragement should be given only to the eager,” I am arousing you concerning this matter and making a request of you. Certainly, you will find appropriate ways [of doing so] without causing a loss in other areas.

With thanks in advance and with blessings and greetings for the entire fellowship,

M. Schneerson
