..Your letter from the 6th of Kislev was duly received. I read the enclosed pan1 at the holy gravesite.

I received satisfaction from [the fact that] you are teaching Chassidus in the synagogue. Heaven forbid that you should stop doing that. Certainly there are and there will be other activities [in which you are involved]. Efforts must be made to broaden the circle of listeners and for young people to attend as well.

Seemingly, the spreading of Chassidus should be your primary occupation, not fundraising.

The primary and the initial stage of correcting chan, “the sins of youth,”2 is by drawing young people close to the fear of Heaven and to the Torah and its mitzvos, and to recite letters of Torah and prayer. The former is of primary importance....
