Blessing and Greeting:
I am in receipt of your letter of the 10th of Adar 1. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness in letting me know how you observed the 10th of Shevat, and also how you personally participated in it. No doubt your sister also took part.
I trust it is unnecessary to emphasize to you and your friends that the essential aspect of a remembrance in general, especially the observance of a Yahrzeit of a Nossi who had dedicated all his life for the benefit of the Jewish people and for the strengthening of the Torah and Mitzvoth, is to be personally inspired to follow in his footsteps and continue his sacred work. Moreover we have been assured that הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו with the דיוק of the Old Rebbe ליטהר ולטהר, את עצמו ואת אחרים Thus, “one who is determined to purify himself and others, receives help from On High".
We are now in the auspicious month of Adar, which is doubly auspicious this year, having two months of the same. When Adar comes in, it is a time to increase joy, the true joy being that of Torah and Mitzvoth. I trust therefore that this auspicious time will bring you an added measure of true joy through an accelerated activity in matters of Torah and Mitzvoth, on your part and that of your friends, and may this bring you and your friends an added measure of G‑d's blessings in all your needs.
