Shalom.

It is graceful of the Rebbe to mention meditation across cultures, and note the similarity between kabbalist prayers/meditation and the similar meditation. At the same time, (I humbly submit) the contentious aspect of this harmony, unity is this: One culture says that the other culture is a copy and vice versa. From where I come from, the wisdom that guides us is the humble notion "I don't know" "we don't know"... Some of the ancient scriptures talk about a timeline of creation that are unfathomably vast, billions of years of time, we wouldn't know what is the base and what is the layer on top. Once when I talked about a mundane situation where I told one of my friends, "that is my idea, how did the other person write about it", my friend wisely counselled me to say that ideas occur at times to different people at about the same time... It is easier to bring about harmony and unity if the core similarities are discussed suspending the claim about what came first. Shalom Reply

very funny Rabbi, you are SO funny. BBM G-d! Busy syndrome. G-d is too busy today, "You're not waking up today".....ha, ha, ha!
But essentially you eloquently said the truth, in a very good way...humor. That connection during the AM and PM does make your day. It does draw down G-d to earth, and it makes the day more special and safe, knowing that nothing can be wrong, because G-d is not too "busy" and is with me. Reply
