Chutzpah

The pride is it defined and imputed by G-d or Mortal man in action. The cause and reason of pride is it benchmarked by Mortal or G-d. Sometimes arrogance might be imputed by the benchmark of mortal man who is presumptuous or unforgiving in his values and will require arrogance (in quote) by mortal to ram through the change. Reply

Mortal Chutzpah comes from despair, from wanting to solve something that should have already been solved. Our timing is not the same of the Hashem. We are mortal, moreover. Reply

Chutzpah is always really dangerous I cannot avoid to think in the not long ago events that took place in France. All this happened because what is normal to you is blasphemy to others. Anyhow, i don't have any more to say about arrogance, other than it gets a positive connotation and that suits me fine. Reply

The Sages Said How can we avoid arrogance? How can we not be arrogant? How can we achieve without the word "I"? Our mind with one G-d is to be achiever and fearless with One G-d. Reply

Arrogance or not? This paradox of arrogance is at once blunt and bewildering. As I type this, a baby is crying in this library, a harsh and universally irritating sound. But without this signal to the universe-at-large the baby's pain/discomfort would be unexpressed and without solution.

Perhaps my arrogance as expressed through haughtiness, contempt or withdrawal is my reaction/response to perceived injustice, insensitivity or even personal bias. It certainly is as irritating to others as the baby's crying, and certainly requires my attention to find a solution to mitigate it.

hmm No disagreement from me. Any character trait that is properly enacted or no enacted, or is properly balanced works for me personally speaking.

But i have always applied the absence of arrogance of such humble servants like Abraham, Moses and Moses Maimonides as a good thing in them. As i look upon them as the exemplars of humbleness, like 100 %, there is zero % left for arrogance.

No doubt there is a context that makes the trait of arrogance work. It eludes me. Reply

Arrogance Now arrogance is a form of pride, it's one of it's sub categories. Pride goes before destruction Mishle' 16:18. In the world it is one of the seven deadly sins. Although in G-D's sight sin is sin whether it is small or great sin remains sin in HIS eye's. Arrogance is an overbearing pride that must dominate someone less superior then themselves. It is an overbearing and dominating attitude that sooner or later will get that person in trouble for there will always be smarter and more advance arrogance is others to keep you in your place. Ego and arrogance These usually become negative traits in so long as they dwell in the hearts of men.However,confidence and bravery grows stronger as one's faith becomes mature. Reply
