From College Athlete to Abraham's Child
Julie Rothschild Levi in conversation with Chana Weisberg
Julie Rothschild Levi is a comedy content creator who loves to make people laugh. Originally from Minnesota, Julie discovered the beauty of Judaism through her local Chabad shluchim. After suffering from depression and anxiety, Julie found an outlet in medical clowning and discovered the power of joy and laughter. She now lives in Israel and has become an "accidental" influencer on social media, posting humorous reels about her life in Israel and her journey to becoming a religious woman.
Chana Weisberg is the editor of TheJewishWoman.org and host of the Ordinary People, Extraordinary Stories podcast. She lectures internationally on issues relating to women, relationships, meaning, self-esteem and the Jewish soul. She is the author of six books. Her latest book, Shabbat Delights, is a two-volume series on the weekly Torah portion.

Extremly interesting and fun. I wonder if you can interview people who overcame addiction as well. You had a lot of guests who talked about overcoming depression, but nothing so far for addiction, and that is a really thorny subject in our society today. I have family members dealing with different addictions and I don't know how to react, what to say, what to advise, I am at a loss. Not that I am perfect, but thank God my only addiction is running on the beach every day. So it's hard for me to understand people who drink until they become someone else, or people who smoke, or do drugs, when they know they are hurting themselves. I would love to hear from your guests as you do find the best people to interview. Always. Reply

Thank you so much, Chana and Julie!
Julie, I can relate to many of your experiences. I too trained as a therapeutic clown in Israel. How can I get in touch with you? Since October 7th I find it extremely challenging to find the joy in life, again. Reply
