I went back to 770 to get ready for mincha. Within a few minutes the Rebbe’s car drew up and, predictably, the crowds of young men who had just been standing there rushed away, while I rushed forward to open the car door for the Rebbe.
After the Rebbe alighted from the car, I was privileged to another mini-yechidus. I explained to the Rebbe that for the next seven days I had a new job; commissionaire for the Rebbe. We then exchanged some greetings and I then dashed forward to open the front door of 770, too. (The previous photograph and the following two were taken during this visit after carrying out my newly undertaken “duties.”)
