Searching for Pearls

The Previous Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, compared chassidic teachings to pearls and coal. Pearls, he explained, are found in the depths of the sea, while coal is found deep in the earth.

The light of chassidic teachings helps us refine “the garments of the soul,” which are our thoughts, speech and actions. But in today’s day and age, the Rebbe explains, much more is required.
