This Is the Time to Say Nice Things!

Elul is a month of reflection, introspection, and repentance. Some in the rabbinate, in their desire to lead their fellow Jews to improve during this auspicious time, tend to focus on the negative.

Yet the Torah teaches a different way - to uplift and inspire others with a focus on the positive.Using this approach is not only more effective, it brings blessings to those in the rabbinate themselves, as the verse teaches, “Those that bless you, I shall bless.”
