The part about how to observe the holiday of Simchat Torah really resonated with me. I've been asking myself that a lot too. We can't and shouldn't forget what happened on October 7 or the psychological/emotional fallout, but on the other hand, neither should we intrude on the joy of the day with memories of tragedy. What happens when the day of joy is the day of tragedy? Reply
It's really hard. Life is bittersweet. We must celebrate the joys and the sorrows. There is a place for both. (I am not Chabad; it's just a fact.)
Ecclesiates says there's a time for weeping and a time for joy. We can do both.

Hi! Thank u for sharing ur story...... Reply
Shalom Hana, I am so much moved by what Eitan's father recounts and the courage of this blessed family. When the prayers for Medinat Israel, the IDF soldiers and the hostages are recited during the Shabat service at the synagogue, I shall certainly include Eitan in my prayers.
Just a suggestion Hana : Eitan's father states that his son asked , if he would be kidnapped by palestinian terrorists , to not give up to their demands. If this is known by the terrorists holding him, it would be worst for Eitan. Perhaps you could suppress this portion from your bright interview.

wonderful testimony of such much faith . May God give you , your wife and your children more strength to survive this nightmare. Reply
The strength of his faith is admirable. May God be with Eitan Mor, the other hostages, and their families in this time of trouble. God bless Israel. Reply

Chana,
I cried listening to this interview as I’m sure everyone who heard it did. I cried even harder when you spoke afterwards. You said what were all feeling, helpless and in so much pain just thinking about the hostages and their families. How is it that these families give strength to the rest of Klal Yisrael to keep praying for the safe return of the hostages and peace in our beloved land of Israel. This was the perfect interview after the murder of the “beautiful 6”! Thank you.

God, just bring all the hostages home NOW!!!!
Thank You Tzvika, Eitan, All the Soldiers, Hostages and People of Israel!
Am Yisroel Chai!
