His Non-Jewish Girlfriend Brought Him Back to Judaism

If you listened to his story, the religious community did not make him feel like an outcast because of his non-Jewish girlfriend. His anger/feeling of being outcast came from being expelled from the Yeshiva simply because his grades weren't high enough to boost the school's scholastic standing. He later said the Rabbi at that school apologized profusely to him for this action. In fact it was his girlfriend's fascination with Judaism that brought him back to Judaism and helped him remove the anger that was keeping him away. Reply

It is not good - they are not trying to be example for people to date non Jews.
The fact that their story ended up good, and that she converted according to Jewish law (and not in order to marry him or something) has nothing to do with it. Reply

Hi, I had a story regarding going to Jewish school until fifth grade and I enjoyed it so much but couldn't continue for various reasons, one being financial but mainly because the new principal spoke rudely to my parents and they always remembered that. my mother was very embarrassed or upset that she went somewhere. It was the way the principal dealt with us after all those years of being in the school. I felt a tremendous void all these years of not continuing Jewish school and had to fight my way back to go to yeshiva but ultimately I gained rabbinical ordination and through this video it gave me a comfort and fulfillment knowing we share a similar story in a certain way. Particularly that these situations can be resolved. There's more emotion and background than what I wrote but in a nutshell it hurt. I know that it was all from Hashem and it's not the principals fault but it had an impact. Reply

I want to retract and say I don't think he was rude or any of that. Hashem wanted and orchestrated everything that happened and I'm thankful for where I am. Also I'm not sure about the story with my mom that day. She doesn't remember. I can't say for sure. Hashem brings us where we're supposed to be and Im thankful. Thank you Hashem. Reply
