I scored 9/9, which is a pleasant surprise for me since this is not among my favorite Torah portions Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ May 31, 2025

Good evening Rabbi,

I scored 8/9; question 9 was tricky; I should had selected my first answer. I rejoiced today because I took the quiz without any written notes (which took a year to accomplish and with the help of the “All Mighty”). Thank you for all the great quizzes after studying the Torah.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Rabbi,

Please explain the answer to question 5. Because, in the roundup it stated: the Levites camped in groups of three…. ; and “Around the Levites were camped the rest of the People of Israel, in four groups”. I am confused about the camps or the wording of question 5. Reply

Three tribes were present around each of the four directions (north, south, east, and west) Reply

Rabbi,
An excellent summary of this Parshah and an excellent quiz. Reply

A great way to fix into our memory that which we have learned today.
Thank you Rebbe. Reply

Thank you for this week's quiz!
Respectfully, the possible answers to Question 5 are not ideal insofar as the first and second choices are both correct.
In response to Question 1 the first choice is also not ideal since Bamidbar includes the letters for the word midaber which does indeed mean speak. (Though someone aware of this would not get the question wrong).
The first choice in response to Question 7 as to who are Levi's sons, including "Irving" was funny! Reply
