8/10 I really enjoy these quizzes! Thanks Rabbi Posner! Shabbat Shalom. Reply

Steve Ky January 26, 2023

Rabbi,
Another excellent quiz, great for learning the Parshah.
I know it may sound wrong, but I don't understand Rashi's explanation for question #3.
The Torah specifically says three days of darkness.
Can you explain why Rashi translates this to six days? Reply

I appreciate the quiz. 60% is humbling and failing. Reply

Missy Gilman Florida January 31, 2020

This was a fun quiz. I scored 8/10... only because I didn't know what to do with the donkey... Not bad for a Goy. My heart belongs to Yerushalyim. Reply

Rochel January 29, 2020

Seriously? How come I still get things wrong?! I read the parshah many times over! Just means I need to do do it again. Reply

Susan ct January 30, 2020
in response to Rochel :

The same with me.!! I'm reviewing the parsha all week and think I am ready for any question and I only scored 6/10.
I think I have to join a Parsha discussion at a local Chabad. Reply

Herman Vancouver January 2, 2022
in response to Rochel :

Brenton Miami January 29, 2020

I ended up moving between 4 different states and I have been brought over a thousand miles from anyone I know...and ended up in a very thriving Jewish community in Miami/Aventura, by accident! Where I was, there were no shuls and no other Jews. So this has been like an Exodus through a desert that resulted in the "promised land". I am no longer alone. But, I am too shy and too different to feel confortable in synagogue here. I can read Hebrew but not as quickly as the rest. I can't keep up. So I don't socialize but it still feels good to be in the vicinity. Reply

Jerry Russ Moville January 30, 2020
in response to Brenton:

Brenton, there are too many things to worry about. This ain't one. Be who you are where you are and join your sisters and brothers at the level you are comfortable with. HaShem takes care of the rest. Shalom chaver. From a guy who actually said amidah in the middle of Afghanistan several times. Reply

Brenton Miami February 3, 2020
in response to Jerry Russ:

Thank you. I have actually decided that synagogue is not a good fit for me, and all I really need is my connection to HaShem. I still believe Torah and I still consider myself a Jew, but I no longer feel a need for the liturgy. Would be cool to attend a study group, but some of the groups online are even very good so I probably won't be appearing in person anymore. All the best. Reply

Jerry Russ Moville, IA January 28, 2020

I just moved to a very small town in NW Iowa. The bewildered look on my new friends faces when I explain we are studying the Passover story now in the middle of winter not in the spring makes me smile. Jewish people, very thin on the ground here. Reply
