Look forward to taking these quizzes every Shabbat! Since the start of the most recent reading cycle, I've been wanting to rely more on memory to keep my mind sharp and make sure I've been retaining what I've learned over the years. Got a perfect score on this one, Baruch HaShem! 🙏 Reply
I always rely on my memory when taking these quizzes, because only then do i achieve an authentic score Reply
Rabbi,
An excellent Parshah summary and quiz.

I scored really poorly this time, at 7/10. One of the questions that threw me was the one about the plague of darkness, which I always thought lasted only three days, not six. I think i also scored this low because I am taking this quiz late at night, and it also happens to be really hot outside and so that negatively affects my thinking ability as well Reply
Dear Rabbi,
I scored 9/10 (I noticed that in January 2024 I scored 6/10); what a change in my study of the Torah and understanding.
Question number 3 was tricky and the one I had wrong; because I read several readings that mentioned 3 days and or 7 days but not 6 days. Please clarify where the six days is written?
Peace,
Deborah

The question about the plague of darkness is one that I also got wrong, as I always thought it lasted three days, not six Reply

Rabbi,
An excellent summary of the Parshah and quiz to test how well you retained it.

Dear Rabbi Posner,
I scored 6 out of 10 on this quiz; my lowest for this month. Questions 3, 5, 6, and 8 were tricky or I didn’t study well enough today to select the correct answers. But, it was a great quiz and I will remember my mistakes and why I got the questions wrong.
Peace,
Deborah

Rabbi,
For question 3, I think the answer should be three.
The Torah says there were three days of thick darkness.
I don't see any mention of three other days of darkness.

Rabbi,
Wonderful way to learn the Parshah: thanks for making this available.

8/10 I really enjoy these quizzes! Thanks Rabbi Posner! Shabbat Shalom. Reply
Rabbi,
Another excellent quiz, great for learning the Parshah.
I know it may sound wrong, but I don't understand Rashi's explanation for question #3.
The Torah specifically says three days of darkness.
Can you explain why Rashi translates this to six days?

6/10 🙁 I think this was my lowest score yet. My fault, not the quiz.
