In this class, we continue our exploration of the fundamentally different nature and impact of positive and negative Mitzvos. We introduce the concept that the Ohr elicited by positive mitzvos (“close” Makkifim, or Makkifim of Seder Hishtalshulus) are rooted in the 5 Chassadim, whereas the truly transcendent Ohr engendered by negative Mitzvos (Eztem Ohr, or “distant” Makkifim) originate in the 5 Gevuros.
