What a touching interview! Does someone know what the common Chabad in Israel practice is regarding sons enlisting or deferring from the army? I'm not for or against. I'm just curious if it's similar to the common deferment of other Charedi/Chasidic or different? Reply
I am trying to get to the local library . It is a small town and I used the library in Winchester,MA
8 miles from Boston,MA and they were very good . I find times right now to be very challenging .
As my father from St Louis,MO would always say in a supportive loving way ,"Keep the Faith " :-)
Blessings to you all .Shalom and pray for each other and for Israel and our families 💔💔✡️🔯🕎

A remarkable, extraordinary couple. Very, very inspiring. Wow. He's discovering, much to his surprise, that a role of greatness is awaiting him. She discovers, much to her shock, that she's married to a man in this position. But she didn't sign up for this! But she steps into her role of remarkable greatness with such grace. Quite remarkable.
I once ate for Shabbos by a couple where he had become a Chassidish rebbe by default. His brother passed in a car accident and he was the next in line. His wife, however, was a regular girl who had married a regular guy. She never dreamed of being married to a leader of an entire community! But he jumped in and she jumped in! And became a remarkably great couple, he an outstanding leader, the late Pittsburger Rebbe of Ashdod, Israel, who passed during Covid.
I guess sometimes Hashem brings someone to a place that was never "supposed" to be in their choice box. And Hashem says, "Jump!" This remarkable couple is doing it. I learnt so much from this
