The Talmud tells us that 24,000 students of Rabbi Akiva died because “they did not treat one another with respect.” But the plague ended on Lag BaOmer, which means they had remedied their actions and began to treat each other with the appropriate level of esteem.

Keeping Moshiach Away If only we would heed the Rebbe's message!! There are so many in our community who treat fellow Jews even worse than they treat non-Jews. For such reasons was the second Temple destroyed--and by such individuals is "Ahavas Yisroel" made into simply an empty phrase.

If we want Moshiach, we must call ourselves and one another to account for the pettiness and diviseness that runs rampant in so many of our communities. Reply

Respecting our teachers and each other This is a beautiful speech. I have a great deal of respect for our Chabad Rabbi, we are blessed with him.
