Hi Hakhel Leaders!

The Jewish year 5783 (2022-2023) was a Hakhel year, when Jews gather together to learn Torah, share inspiration, and unite as a people.

Purim is the ultimate celebration of connectivity, with so many of its mitzvahs done together with others. And Purim parties, large and small, create a uniquely joyous Jewish experience to savor all the way until we meet again one month later for the Passover seder.

In this Hakhel year, when Jews gather all over the world, let’s all be sure to host—or otherwise participate in—Purim parties with friends, family, or fellow community members.

In this guide, we’ve included the info and instructions you need to host a Purim party, as well as some Torah thoughts and a story you can share with your guests.

As usual, we’ve also included our Hakhel Tip of the Month.

Of course, these are really just suggestions, and it is more than acceptable to put together your own (kosher) menu, figure out your own decore, and plan a program that suits you and your guests.

Wishing you a joy-filled Purim and an amazing Hakhel gathering!
