Hi Hakhel Leaders!

The Jewish year 5790 (2029-2030) is a Hakhel year, when Jews gather together to learn Torah, share inspiration, and unite as a people.

Chanukah is a beautiful light-filled holiday, when we bask in the menorah’s glow, munch on delicious doughnuts and latkes, and express our gratitude for G‑d’s miracles. We celebrate at parties surrounded by friends and family, reliving old memories and creating new ones.

In this Hakhel year, when Jews gather all over the world, let’s make an extra effort to invite more guests, make our gatherings more meaningful, and spread the light of Chanukah wider and brighter than ever before!

In this guide, we’ve included the texts and instructions you need to host a Chanukah party, as well as a Torah thought and a story you can share with your guests.
