6/10 fmar the 1st try. Need to learn Light aka Torah more. Reply
I got 8/10. I got Moshiach as anointed wrong. I would have thought that the anointed one is a redeemer too. Guess I need to clarify my thinking about this.
Anyway, Thank you Rabbi.

If you're a Christian, you do believe Moshiach is the Redeemer. As a Jew, one would think He should be considered the same as He brings true peace and so forth. The biggest key word throughout the OT and NT is, Salvation. Reply
Redemption will follow the Moshiah and not be a part of his/her direct arrival. The only way for them to come together is if the arrival of the Moshiah were to be seen as an asymptote that we continuously get closer and closer to yet never exactly arrive. Reply
The Christian idea of Moshiach is taken from Judaism. Jews don't call the Torah the OT. Because it is still completely relevant to Jews.
If you read something called the OT, you're not getting the real Megillah so to speak.
It's been translated so many times and many words in Hebrew have been given interpretations that are not in line with the original Hebrew meaning.

8/10. Got tripped up by the Maimonides question and... Isn't it the Messiah Ben Joseph who's supposed to rebuild the Temple ahead of Messiah ben David? Reply
7/10 better than average oh school days all over again, atb everyone. Reply
Yes 7/10 Reply
8/10, that's satisfying for a goy like me, isnt'it?;-) The question about Maimonides was hard, and I failed it. Another question I failed was that about the Mashiach's miracles; however, I see in the related article that the Sages did not completely agree about that. May I consider that 8,5/10?:-)
