“Is anyone here wearing a Borsalino brand hat?” a respected rabbi asked his yeshiva students.
Many of the students were wearing such a hat, yet they sat sheepishly. None of them was brave enough to respond. They assumed that their rabbi would ridicule them for caring about something so materialistic.
Finally, one student bashfully raised his hand.
The rabbi turned to him and said, “Ahh! Now I have someone to talk to. Someone who appreciates class and beauty in life! With a person like this I can speak about the beauty and true quality of Judaism.”
