The Previous Rebbe’s Dangerous Speech in Moscow, 1927

Before Purim of 1927, my father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe, put his life in danger when he spoke about the imperative to provide Jewish children with an authentic Torah education, even under communist rule, during a public address in Moscow.

In Stalinist Russia, there were Jews willing to risk their very lives in order to do this. In the free world, we need only to have the right priorities.
