8/10. I have been there, and the feeling is of renewal. Sadly, there are several reasons for not rebuilding. The external one is the most bothersome: it is occupied by a building a Syrian leader ordered; this building is there to compete with Mecca since he had a rift with them. We have always had the Kotel , but even then it was hard to daven there since they had excuses to not let this happen. For me .the exciting moment was when I heard "Hakotel shelanu" in 1967. Shelanu L'olam ,and may H' intervene so that we can have the Bait too in the future. Reply

For your own protection, I would advise you to do your reading in a safer location other than at the Temple Mount Reply

Thank you Rabbi Posner. I've been doing these for many years and I have learned a lot. Didn't do too well this time: Only 6/10!
I was wondering about the cubits question. In my mind I was thinking of the inner walls around the temple as achieving a rectangular look so I figured the 1000x400 made more sense than 500x500 which would make a square, but I was wrong! Would you mind filling me in? Thanks! Reply

I got 10 out of 10. I forgot the score. It was a lot of reading. Wish I had a longer stay in Israel but had a short trip while on active duty BEFORE the war years started. Our people will not fail for we are the children of our Heavenly Fathers. Reply

I was there in contact with it 1967. The rock looked like parts of it had been sliced off, but this holy relic still proclaims its great significance to our faith in G-d and Abraham.

Who shall ascend the mountain of the L-rd, who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart, who hath done no wrong nor cursed through evil utterance. Reply

that may be true even if one has clean hands rather than hath clean hands Reply
