Day Four: Netzach of Chesed

BH. I am deeply challenged by this improvement of my soul powers. I learned to love through Torah studies. HaShem commands me to love as his creation I’m obedient. This requires the animal soul to surrender to the G-dly souls which takes me on that voyage to heaven. The sensation I get is wonderful and inspiring. Beautiful acts from endurance of love. Reply

Advocating for a special needs person, mentally ill, frail elderly, learning or physically disabled, or dependent person or animal is a fight of love. When this is neglected what is the echo spiritually? Reply

Netzach shebe chesed Center on the good. That is the permanence of love. For the heart can only love the good; the soul yearns for the good. Therefore, do not hate. Remain focused on that that is good.

Hashem created every one of us and His breath is in each one. Even he who is in a state of corruption and who duels in perversity received a pure neshama. And in that resides his possibility of redemption.

Remind yourself of this truth. Remain kind and corteous. Remain centered on the good. Reply

fight or flight? sometimes I find flight is whats necessary, for the sake of survival.

I love having the Omer reminder, but I live in Israel and it arrives in the afternoon. Is there any way to change the timing so that it will arrive at night? Reply

I am a motivated novice. There is a lot of truth I feel on the comments made and that is why I am adding mine. I'm a bit late starting and will look into what I should be doing. Reply

there are many forms of "fighting" & the one that works best for me is to embrace the other, the All w/the greatest possible amount of divine love & light . . . to hold that other in my consciousness, see it enveloped in light, suffused in that Love & know in my heart of hearts that this is the best I have to offer. Love is the strongest, most powerful force in creation--nothing can stand against it, &--it can open new ways of seeing, resolving any/all differences, all that needs healing. Reply

Endurance of love Love is eternal. True love never gives up. It's power changes situations. Once felt both animal and divine souls surrender to it. It is the catalyst in repentance, and attraction to God. Endurance of love non less than a miracle. Shalom. Reply

Netzach of Chesed I look forward every year for the Omer Count... I used to just be happy for not missing a day of the count... This year I learned from comments made by brothers and sisters, that if one does everyday, with LOVE, the Count, Hashem has a smile on His face.

Traffic of Love I feel that my love is enduring. My wife and I are just coming out of a traffic jam on the way back to Jerusalem. While in the jam I thought it would be nice to use our smart telephones to join in a combined research activity as a family. My holy woman of valor had the blessed idea to learn today's sefira -- netzach of chessed. We not only enjoyed learning the lesson above, and reading the discussion points above, but by enduring in our love for each other we made it through the traffic unperturbed. Reply

The "stuggle" is the victory Many see he definition of Netzach as victory and see the battle is won and finished but the real "personal" victory is IN the struggle.

When we are struggle everyday to get closer to G-d, through knowing Him through His Torah we are in a constant battle because who can truly say they KNOW G-d completely and perfectly? The Torah is filled with things that seem to not fit or be contradictions, yet we know that the Torah is perfect so we trust in the Torah and we struggle to know. Netzach is to know that your victory is to know you struggle without giving up on knowing our Great G-d as deeply and richly as you can; so you can worship the One True G-d as He should be worshiped and praised... and be thanked for all His glory and blessing just for Love's sake alone. This is the first time I'm counting the Omer, and I feel filled with love, compassion, and spiritual energy. What a beautiful tradition. Reply

I just felt the need to reply to Anonymous from Arizona US.
Maybe the reason you are not getting the desired love in return is because you are expecting to receive something for the love you give. Give your love without expecting anything in return and know that G-d could not love you anymore than he already does! Reply

I may have missed yesterday's count...but great G-d...today was the day I wad reminded of what love will make you do...I blessed the only and true living One this blessed morning. Reply

Day Four: Netzach of Chesed I feel that I love, love, and love. Everything and everyone. But there are many who do not love me. What can one do? Just accept it. If someone is hurtful, walk away from them. There are people who can be very hurtful. With their mouth, behavior, and just do not love. Some do not know how to love. Who knows why. Traumas, maybe. I always give it a try by being friendly. But one can tell if there is no hope from some people. Only Hashem can turn a bitter heart into a sweet, loving one. He is the Creator of all. I feel that changing someone is Hashem's work. All we need to do is pray for all people. Reply

Also... Let's think of what it takes to bring chesed into the world beyond our personal loved ones and make an enduring and successful impact for the good. It may be in the political arena, or in our groups or communities, or simply in the society of the "other," a person in need.

It's often hard. It takes effort, strength, patience. Bringing chesed in the world is frequently painful.

Those in greatest need of love and compassion are sometimes where they are because their immediate world places them in need. Breaking into that world to right the wrongs and bring love to bear in a transformative way often has little support, even, sadly, from the ones in need.

This is not to justify being overbearing in one's love. It's rather to say there's a powerful need for the netzach of chesed! Reply
