At a children’s rally in the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah, children sing a joyous Niggun: “May you be written and inscribed for a good and sweet year”.

Children sing a Niggun for the months of Elul and Tishrei: “May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.”

The Torah states, “When you go out to war upon your enemies, and the L-rd, your G-d, will deliver him into your hands...” This is not merely an introduction to the laws discussed; it is an assurance that when a Jew fights in service of G-d he will be victorious.
