Dear Rabbi,

I scored 10/10 without rereading the weekly Torah! Such a big difference in my understanding (binah) and knowledge (daat) from this time last year (2024). Thank you for the weekly quizzes.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Rabbi,
Another excellent Parshah and quiz.
Thank you for doing these. Reply

6 out of 10 getting there. Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ January 28, 2024

After I questioned the answer to #9, I read the reading offered by question 9: “Read: Moses Strikes the Rock: The Full Story”.
Then I also went to the Torah and located where I read something different about Moses and the rock: Numbers 20:6-13 and Numbers 27:12-14. To say what? Both answers are correct it’s just when did it happen; because I didn’t know the rock and source of water happened three times during the 40 years in the desert.
But, now I know and understand why the answer for # 9 is correct.
Thank you for the weekly quizzes on the Torah!

Peace,
Deborah Reply

10/10! I surprised myself with the score; because I was not at my best in my studies of Torah this Sabbath and I had to think about question #9; because I read somewhere (different time) that Moses did something wrong here and it was the reason he was not allowed to cross over to the Promised Land.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Rabbi,
Once again an excellent Parshah and quiz to reinforce the learning. Reply

Rosa israel January 25, 2024

I believe there is a mistake with the answer in number 9. It should be that Moshe was told to speak to the rock, not to hit it. Reply

Thank you Rabbi for providing these quizzes. I enjoy taking them each week. I believe the answer to question two is incorrect. I believe the remains taken out of Egypt was that of Jacob's not Joseph's. But I could be wrong. Reply

Menachem Posner January 28, 2024
in response to Peaches Drummond:

Jacob's remains had already been taken out of Egypt by Joseph, as we read in Vayechi. Joseph's, by contrast, remained in Egypt for the duration of the enslavement and were taken out by Moses. Reply

Thank you so much Rabbi. I went back and reread the portions at issue and realized I had the information mixed up and went online yesterday to make admit my error but could not find the link to say so. Thank you so much for the explanation. I’m a new learner and love your quizzes and explanations after each question, to no end and I appreciate your kind response today. Reply

9/10 I really enjoyed these quizzes! I get #1 incorrect! most of the times because I don't know the meaning of Beshalach! Thanks Rabbi Posner! For your wonderful quizzes! Shabbat Shalom. Reply

I am trying to be better. Not to brag but ten to ten in my second language lol
Nah being honest I had to studdy it super good cause my Moreh was a little disappointed about I read the wrong parashah last week. Well sometimes it's happen just because you work in 3 places and have so much extra working with patients...
Just to say, you can do it if you read it 3 times. (I did online in Chabad, then in real Torah which I was a little lost, and then made a note tip for that issue, maybe this moment on i start to use this method for all parashot!).
Keep on Chazak you all.
Todah, shavua tov.

Awesome!!!
Thanks so much for the quizzes, I love them! Reply

9 out of 10 today!!
Last week was only 6 out of 10.
I did extra research before I sat down to take my exam!
Maybe next week 10 out of 10!
Most importantly, I learned alot about parsha Beshallach. Reply

Gwendolyn Jones Dacula February 7, 2020

The answer , How did God tell Moses to extract water from the rock, is incorrect.
Thank you for the quizzes and puzzles. Shalom. Reply

Ezra ben-Pesach WOODSTOCK January 25, 2021
in response to Gwendolyn Jones:

Gwendolyn, you are certainly correct! Reply

Dina Bangkok February 8, 2025
in response to Gwendolyn Jones:

It isn’t. It’s true that Moses struck the rock when G-d told him only to speak to it, but that happened later in another incident. Reply
