Tzav - The Fire Without
In this weeks Torah portion G-d commands: “A continuous fire shall burn upon the altar; it shall not go out”. If it should never go out, then obviously it is continuous, an apparent redundancy?

motivation I enjoyed this discussion. It seems to me that in order that our light does not go out in regards to behavior change( chometz since this is Pesach coming) we must make a continuous effort daily to change and keep our awareness and consciousness continuous. Only with continuity and internal integration does the light or new behavior continue. For example, when we stop exercising regularly, it is so easy to stop and hard to start agin. However, when the effort is daily and continuous, the effort and motivation is integrated within. In this way, the light does not go out. This is how I relate to the topic. I have been a psychotherapist for 40 years.
