You're right, Ron! That's exactly right! G-d was very present in the world before the sin of the tree of knowledge. He retreated in various stages because of seven sinful generations that began with Adam, and then was drawn back into he world by seven righteous people, culminating in Moses on mount sinai, receiving the Torah. Thus the verse in Song of Songs states, " I have come to my garden"; this is referring to His return to his original state of being "at home". Reply

Question According to this lecture, the boundaries between the physical and spiritual realms changed due to G-d’s presence, allowing for a new interaction between heaven and earth. This is all attributed to G-d’s descent onto the mountain. My question is, if you say that the physical world absorbed Godliness because of G-d’s decent, then why didn’t the same thing happen when
G-d manifested himself in the Garden of Eden? I would think that mankind being able to hear G-d walking nearby would indicate an even greater revelation and interaction between the physical and spiritual worlds. Reply
