Thank you for sharing this information. I realize that this shuir was given over 15 years ago and I am listening to this now, however, I am having a very difficult time discerning the way you are explaining the neshama (as a part of Hashem) as well as it being a creation. I am satisfied with the idea that our Neshama has within in a Chelek of Hashem M'mal, but to say that this portion either "needs" or "is elevated" only by coming into this world and accomplishing what it needs to do and only then it becomes or reaches that chelek of Hashem is Soser itself and Chas Vshalom, implies an imperfect non complete existence. Also See Tanya (Epistle 29 for the 19 Cheshvan)כי להיות שנפש רוח ונשמה שבאדם הן בחי' נבראים וא"א לשום נברא להשיג שום השגה בבורא ויוצר הכל א"ס ב"ה.
It would appear that understanding the Ma'mmar using the more conventional way of Neshama (creation - lacking in spiritual completeness) would be more appropriate.
