How to speed the spiritual building of the inner Temple I enjoyed very much the insights by Rabbi Yaffe. I appreciate that we can have a role in the mission, a return of a visible Presence of God, physically in our world. This goal is my deepest desire as I learn how to return to God through Torah and repentance. Rosh Hashanah was a great vehicle to start this process. In my humble opinion, this deep reflection on self, fellow man and God is key. Most are familiar with, "All Israelites are responsible for one another,", yet could it be that this needs to be raised to "All Israelites are responsible for all Creation?" This involves Israelites forgiving all peoples and nations who wronged Her and petitioning the Almighty to heal all people, Jew or not. We have yet to embrace that we are all connected, made in the image of our One God. I hope as more hearts are softened, we can show God that we are serious about His visible return. Reply

Incredible Lecture Thank you so much Rabbi Yaffe and Chabad.org for this incredible lecture. Very inspiring. G-d willing I hope to "carry" this with me throughout the day and really try to see the "ordinary stuff of life" in a whole new light. Reply
The Tango
I can't help but feel and think that I am dancing to a hidden riddle. Even if my actions are sometimes lower than my expectations I am still required to keep on dancing. Now I don't want to sound like a riddle so let me get to my point. My ability to focus to this lesson was like a man in a boat, sometimes the boat rocked this way and sometimes the other way.
What remained constant was that I continued to try to reach my destination. Sometimes sleepy and other times a bit more awake. The purpose of my a concentration was that I unriddle the knot between the Rabbi and achieve understanding. I believe that what he was saying was that we build a bridge with physical work while the sanctuary that is the design becomes more available with the collected effort to create true understanding.
The actual knowledge of individual comprehension is not revealed until the collected effort arrive at the gate. This will destroy the effort to understand and reveal the understanding of effort.
