7/10 seems to be my lucky number! 😂😂 Reply

Rabbi - as to the question where you said that Sarah is NOT mentioned in the passover seder, this is incorrect. Since links and other scholarly references are not allowed here, search "Reason for the Four Cups of Wine" on this site for an explanation. Reply

Lorraine Diamond Montreal December 3, 2024

Don Ostrander, you comment that you got nine out of the ten questions in the Sarah quiz, and then you say "not bad for a goyim'. You would have enjoyed to meet Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneersohn loved everyone, jews and non-jews. The Rebbe did his utmost to spread the love. Thru Ruah Hakodesh (divine inspiration and closeness to G-d) the Rebbe brought peace whereever he was and he made everything right for so many. Reply

One of my many regrets in life is that I never went to meet the Rebbe, although if the truth be told, I probably wasn't ready to meet him until decades after he passed away Reply

Eve (Chava in Hebrew) was the first woman, and therefore A matriarch.

However, this quiz is at the Chabad.org website. Chabad is a a Jewish organisation charged with spreading accurate Jewish information.

Was Eve Jewish? One could argue, yes, since HaShem was her maker. She had personal knowledge of HaShem, the ONE GD.

But Sarah is acknowledged as the first of 4 JEWISH matriarchs. The others were Sarah's daughter-in-law Rivka, and Rivka's daughters-in-law, Rachel and Leah.

Just as Avraham is acknowledged as the first Jew, the first person to comprehend that there is only ONE GD, and that He is all-good, all-knowing, omnipotent, etc.

If you want to become for informed about Torah and Judaism, I suggest learning at the Chabad.org website. There are digital copies of Torah and other books, as well as commentaries and explanations.

The search bar (top right of the screen) is also a quick way to research on a specific topic.

Hatzlacha! Reply

Muslims are also monotheists Christians are too. As the Psalmist said .The gods of the nations are idols but HaShem made the heavens." The true God is our Creator. Reply

You count Sarah as the FIRST MATRIARCH. I deferred to EVE being the first MATRIARCH. Tell me why I am WRONG! Reply

Maxi Mill North Miami November 21, 2024
in response to John Sheppard:

Eve sinned and was done... Well, except for Seth from whom lineage Abraham came.

Eve went down in the flood, and too, Sarah was married to Abraham the circumcised father of Israel, becoming the first matriarch of a circumcised people. For the record. Reply
