Question: Ben Oni: refers to the fact that she was pained because it was difficult for her to have children. Her husband changed the name to Benyamin.- disregarding anew Rachel's feelings, Yes? Reply

10/10 gracias chabad.org por ponernos a prueba en el conocimiento que dan ustedes, es maravilloso.
Y pensé que la primera matriarca era Sara.
Esto refuerza mucho nuestro conocimiento.

10/10 Awesome! Shalom everyone. Prayers for the Nation of Israel always Reply

Allen Dana LAS VEGAS November 20, 2024

I can't understand why you think trying to trick us is a good idea
Rachel Emainu of all the choices we have is the elder the matriarch that is how she is known Mama Rachel never heard of that in my life and I've studied Torah for 40 years.... When we call someone up to the Torah with an Aaliyah and we don't know the name of their mom will use Sarah the primary matriarch I love what you do here but there are times that it seems the questions are aimed 2 fail Reply

Imanuel Miami November 21, 2024
in response to Allen Dana:

I got that question wrong as well, thinking that it was a curve ball. I have studied and read on the Avinus and Imeinus plenty and never read "Mama Rachel" anywhere. Sarah is Ima to the Nation.
However, in Kabbalah different models of vessels and lights combination can render a title to be attributed to another tzadikim. Maybe that is what is at play here. Reply

Got 10/10. But I have a question. Rachel was buried OUTSIDE of Bethleham and was buried with her "forefathers". I looked this up and what...is the difference. Forefathers burial is a long the Road of Bethleham? Reply

Corinne Germany October 2, 2024

Shana Tova, thanks for the beautiful quizz, yes, I also slipped on Ben Oni. Reply

SULE OBOZUWA Lagos, Nigeria October 2, 2024

I got 8/10 score! Thank you for the quiz. The answers to the 2 questions I failed was Mama Rachel and Sheep...Now I know that Rachel means Sheep.

Never heard "Mama Rachel" before...always something new!! Reply

John London November 21, 2024
in response to Imanuel:

Rachel was not the mother of Judah, nor of Levi, but she WAS the mother of Benjamin, Strictly speaking, the only Jew who can truly call her mother has either Joseph or Benjamin as an ancestor.(Na na na na na, I can - I think!) Reply

eva Altona October 2, 2024

never heard about ben-oni
the only question I got wrong
thanks and chag sameach! Reply

herm paris December 11, 2024
in response to eva:

9/10 I answered the question wrong as well but in genesis it
is written that Rachel called him ben-oni sun of my suffering
and Jacob changed it to Benjamin Reply

Thank you, you're right, I consulted Genesis, found it, 35/18 Reply

7/10 one of the ones I missed was Ben-Oni. I knew it but I didn't know it! I forgot to put on my scholarly glasses. Reply

Apparently my Torah study this year has NOT included much about the matriarchs! I really have to include more on that topic. Reply

Minucha Chicago October 1, 2024

I got 8 out of 10. I should have done better. Reply

Feigue Cieplinski Middletown October 1, 2024

Austen: I also missed that one. The quiz is very well made and while it is not trying to trick you it can confuse in the spur of the moment. I love those quizzes they make you aware of what you miss being human always. Reply

Ari October 1, 2024

Love these quizzes and everything y’all do! Very blessed to have you all and all you do. Thank you and Moshiach now! :) prayers for Israel and the Jewish people and all who need! Reply

ARI, "Amen" to your answer to PRAYERS to our people in Israel. May our L_rd give them protection and the strength they need. Wish I were back on Active Duty. I would volunteer to help out...especially in the medical field. PRAYERS are strong and amazing for our G_d hears them all and answers in His own time. God bless us all. Reply
