Day Five of Week 7: Hod of Malchut

47th Day of the Omer

Sovereignty is G‑d's gift to each individual. Hod of Malchut is the humble appreciation of this exceptional gift. Does my sovereignty and independence humble me? Am I an arrogant leader? Do I appreciate the special qualities I was blessed with?

Exercise for the day: Acknowledge G‑d for creating you with personal dignity.

Hod SheB'Malchut To me it says "Majesty that is with Sovereignty" I am not clear on how I might have defaced this Pair of Sefeiras. I will say the prayer tonight after sundown in which I ask for "purification" and "sanctification" from corrupting this Pair of Sefeiras. I'm not knowledgeable enough to comprehend what I'm praying for. Any suggestions? Thanks. Reply

Even if we don't specifically know of how we may have defaced a certain sefira, it still applies to every individual, because we don't always know the inner workings of our souls and the universe. Reply

We do not say the name of Hashem out of honor to Him and His name. The Torah tells us not to use His name in vain, so we write G-d as to honor His name by using it with all reverence. You can add the “o” in the middle where the dash is and see Him more clearly. 😉 Reply
