A large family walked home from synagogue contentedly on a sunny Shabbos afternoon. Without warning, an anti-Semite confronted them. “What business do you have raising such a large family?” he rudely shouted to the father. “It is very irresponsible! Can you provide for them? Are you able to devote enough time to each of your children?”

The father, unfazed by the man’s insolence, calmly replied, “After I have six million children – you can ask me that question.”

“If a Jew wishes to see a miracle today, he need only look at himself. The greatest of all miracles is that even one Jew exists in our day and age.”
—R. Bachya Ibn Paqua

“Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a sour or past relationship just might mean that the other person was right about you.”
