Excellent Rabbi 7/10 Reply

Deborah Philadelphia February 21, 2026

Dear Rabbi,

I am traveling but I do stop to study The Torah on the Sabbath. So, great quiz today and I scored 10/10.

Peace,

Deborah Reply

Raymond West Hollywood February 25, 2026
in response to Deborah :

It is great that you study the Torah on Shabbat. That is probably the day most conducive to doing so, although of course any day of the week can be used for Torah study Reply

Deborah Philadelphia March 5, 2026
in response to Raymond:

Thank for your response. I do review saved Sabbath readings, articles (of interest), and read snapshots of scripture sections that touched my soul or experiences or that finally answered personal questions that only the Torah is capable of doing, throughout the week. So, I keep up my studies by reviewing saved items. But, I realized that I must work 6 days (to provide for my
family) and the family and I must rest and study the Torah because it starts at home on the 7th day. Reply

Raymond West Hollywood March 9, 2026
in response to Deborah:

Sometimes I lament having to work for a living, but then I try to keep in mind that just as we are commanded to rest on the 7th day of the week, we are also commanded to work on the first six days of almost any given week. It is just the way the world is made. Still, even during the work week, while we may have neither the time nor energy to have full Torah study sessions, we can still learn a little Torah here, and a little Torah there, in our efforts to make the most of our respective situations Reply

8/10. Wasn't the alter made from bronze not copper? Reply

Desiree Ortiz Suisun City, California February 21, 2026

Hi My Ortiz Guys!

Every Shabbat The Ortiz Family does the portion quiz together. This week I'm away from my family, but I got 10/10.

So beat that guys 😘😜! Work as a team, there's a lot of details. Shabbat shalom family from Mama & Doron Reply

Raymond West Hollywood February 25, 2026
in response to Desiree Ortiz :

That is actually very nice. I come from a fairly traditional Jewish family, yet I cannot recall us as a family ever discussing the Torah portion Reply

9/10! 🇮🇱♥️😻🖖😇 This is the “traveling” Tabernacle of G-d. May G-d help Yehudi return to Torah and have Avraham’s Faith in these financially challenging 😰 times. Reply

Steve Ky February 18, 2026

Rabbi,
An excellent lesson of all the specifications needed to construct the Tabernacle and all of the
wonderful items inside of it. If only somehow it could be found today. Reply

Even better is to be a Torah scholar Reply

Dear Rabbi,

This week I finished my studies early, I did read the required readings; but had no need to take notes. So, I took the quiz earlier today and scored 10/10.

I loved the article, “What Were the Golden Cherubim?” by Mordechai Rubin, it was on my level of understanding the making of the cherubim for the Ark.

Thank you for the weekly quiz.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

in response to Deborah McBride:

Woops! At first the quiz did not even appear here, so I made a comment about that. However, about a minute later, the quiz did appear, so I took the quiz, scoring 9/10, but now there is no room for me to make a comment about my score, which is why I am making a comment about it here. Sorry about that to Deborah, I hope she will understand, and sorry about the mix-up Reply

Rabbi,
An excellent study of the making of the Tabernacle. Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ February 22, 2025

Dear Rabbi,

I scored 10/10 this year but took lots of notes. In 2024 I took lots of notes also and scored 9/10. Questions were different for 2024 and 2025 but the questions covered the long and detailed readings.

I was disturbed by referring the faces of the cherubins over the Ark represented God and Israel. Also the word plated vs overlaid (used by Rashi) should be researched and corrected.

But still, great readings of the Torah and a quiz to test one’s understanding of it.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

9/10; but took lots of notes while reading different sources and listening to several videos. I agree with others that this Parshah on Terumah had many details and facts that I never knew or paid attention to them from previous readings. Especially, questions 2 and 7; those two required me to reread the Terumah to make sure I understood the construction details or G-d’s instructions to Moses. But, silly me got question 9 wrong; but I will now remember G-d’s instructions: “wood plated with copper (metal). Rabbi, thank you for this week’s quiz.
Peace,

Rabbi,
An excellent quiz for the details for how the work was to be done. Reply

Carmen B Uffner Hallandale February 28, 2023

6/10 has so much details. Need to go back. Thank Rabbi Reply

9/10 This quizzes has so much details! That is the kind of G-d we serve! He is a master builder! and designer! Please take into consideration all the details! that was given to the Jewish people! on how, and what, to construct with, amazing! Thanks Rabbi Posner! for another well put together quizzes! Shabbat Shalom. Reply

Steve Ky February 23, 2023

Rabbi,
Another excellent quiz: more difficult because of all the details.
It's great the Israelites had people with the right skills to build everything. Reply

Stephen Cohen Givat Shmuel February 22, 2023

There's so much detail in this week's Parasha.
Only managed 6/10 so need to go back and read again.
These details are important for a fuller understanding of the 'wider text'.
But great fun!
Thank you. Reply

Michelle Uk February 5, 2022

As a family we love the quiz, it’s something we all sit down and discuss together teaching the younger ones as we go through them. Thank you Rabbi Reply
