9/10 mistake by confusing Nimrod (thus Avraham) with Nevuchadnetsar (Ezra the scribe). Reply

Adam Fresno August 7, 2026

10 out 10 I also guessed, but the one of Rabbi Alkabetz almost did me in. Again thank you Rabbi for these quizzes. Reply

Rochelle Rosen Astoria August 6, 2026

I guessed on a lot of them but I got them all right! 10/10! I used process of elimination. Can't be this, can't be that ... Reply

Raymond West Hollywood August 7, 2026
in response to Rochelle Rosen:

good guessing, and good elimination Reply

DEBORAH Forest Hills NY August 6, 2026

7/10 - This one was a toughie!!! Real challenging!!! Guessed wrong on 1st 2 & the Ladino question. To be honest, some of the others were educated guesses! Reply

Raymond West Hollywood August 7, 2026
in response to DEBORAH :

Deborah is a real toughie when it comes to making educated guesses Reply

Minucha Chicago, IL August 6, 2026

I got 8 out of 10 correct. Most of my answers were guesses, so I'm surprised I did that well. Reply

I am not much of a jew, nevertheless, I love the jewish culture and their zeal for G-d.
G-d bless and keep Israel! :) Reply

in response to Leo:

Dear Leo,
"Not much of a Jew" is a Jew. You're not an outsider--"their" zeal for G-d is yours, too, and you're already acting upon it by being here. Yasher koach! Reply

Allen Ackerman San Francisco August 6, 2026

Ask me who wrote “Brown-Eyed Women” and I could tell you in a heartbeat. I’ve read the liner notes. But, ask me who wrote "Aishes Chayil”, one of my all-time favorite melodies and, having never even seen any liner notes for it, I’m clueless. So… I’ll read Rabbi Posner’s liner notes and THEN, I’ll consider the quiz!

Since childhood, I have LOVED our traditional songs and melodies. And nothing compares to combining one's voice with the voices of others to create a single voice, expressing our heartfelt, soulfelt devotions? Reply

Four I missed! it is good to have mistakes because one learns and then doesn't forget. It is not a punishment to miss answers but a future reward in learning. Thank fort he challenge. I loved the composition of this Quiz because it integrated all of us. Reply

Raymond Blum West Hollywood August 6, 2026
in response to Feigue Cieplinski:

It both integrates and punishes all of us Reply

Feigue Cieplinski Middletown August 7, 2026
in response to Raymond Blum:

Shabbat shalom: Raymond: I would argue that after the quiz, i felt lie dancing. Ladino, was integrated too, and it is good to be reminded of those who wrote to make songs, and allow us Happiness. Reply

Raymond West Hollywood August 4, 2026

I scored 8/10. The only ones I got wrong were the ones about Adon Olam being anonymous, and Hinei matov coming from King David Reply

Feigue Cieplinski Middletown August 6, 2026
in response to Raymond:

Raymond your brain is working well, so no worries, May all parts of your live continue to improve. B'shalom, Feigue Reply
