Two visions that seem to add credence to the reports of there being a spiritual world that we can enter/experience, and not only at the time of death. One is from a well-known rabbi and the other from a great Catholic saint:
On 6 December, 1273, he laid aside his pen and would write no more. That day he experienced an unusually long ecstasy during Mass; what was revealed to him we can only surmise from his reply to Father Reginald, who urged him to continue his writings: "I can do no more. Such secrets have been revealed to me that all I have written now appears to be of little value."
--Saint Thomas Aquinas
When my master and teacher [R. Schneur Zalman of Liadi] was in a state of d'veikut (lit. "attachment," a trance-like state of ecstatic cleaving to G-d) he would cry out: "I want nothing at all! I don't want Your 'garden of eden,' I don't want Your 'world to come'... I want nothing but You alone."
--Related by Rabbi Schneur Zalman's grandson, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch

It's true. A special friend (now deceased) was complaining about his poor health. He was not devout, but what I call an academic Torah scholar -university educated. I had read numerous NDE reports, and asked if he knew anything about it. My friend said yes, he had one at the time of his first heart attack. I don't remember the details, except his meeting with a being, or person. My friend was always very direct. He said to the being, "Who are you?" The being replied, "I am Abraham, and YOU are going back." Keep the faith. Reply
What you say is similar to the words of the prophets, in that it is first-hand experience. Thanks for sharing! Reply
During cancer 6+ yrs ago, I was turned over to hospice. Due to years of fear of being away from my own home, as well as having anyone in my home & as a Christian I had no idea how I would ever get through all of this & dying alone. Then one day I was in my bathroom experiencing a lot of Pain, Fear & Bleeding. I would Praise my way through the Pain & say, Thank you Father for not giving me any more than I can bear! This time all of a sudden I found myself outside of my body, up above myself & watching myself below. I looked so peaceful & restored. About 30 again. Glorious light shining in through the fabric of the ceiling & the wall & an angelic presence to my right that I couldn't see. Then an amber colored sap looking substance covered my upper arms to my shoulders that immediately turned to tiny bubbles & lifted away. It was revealed it was the fear & pain I'd dealt with for years. I just pointed at myself & said, I've got to see what that feels like & was back! Cancer was gone too! Reply
