5/10 Pretty good! Reply

Wow. I scored only 7/10 for a parsha that is so central to Jewish teachings. Shame on me. Well, maybe i can blame my low score on the hot weather as well as the late hour that I took the quiz Reply

Deborah Lawrence,NJ February 15, 2025

Dear Rabbi,

My score was 10/10!
But, this same reading in 2024 (for me) I had to go back and check some facts.
I hope this second time around I will remember the facts. I must remember those of the House of Jacob have been studying the Torah for 2,000 years plus and were at Mount Sinai.

I just started seriously studying the Torah since I discovered Chabad. org in 2024.
Thank you Chabad for reaching my soul and thank you Rabbi for testing my soul too.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

Rabbi,
Another excellent discussion of the Parshah and quiz. Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ February 5, 2024

To others, this is an opinion, l take the quiz when Sabbath ends. During Sabbath time I rest and study the Torah, read articles for that day, and listen to videos related to the weekly Parshah. Why? I don’t have a synagogue to attend, I am a stranger to the Jewish faith and community, and enjoy the lessons and messages received from The Torah, The Tanya, and Kabbalah. I relate my soul to Jethro, one that saw the goodness of one G-d and believed in all the miracles He did for the Jewish people. So, to the individual that stated, ‘the site should not operate on the Sabbath’, in my opinion it would be unfair. Because, it allows the loner, the sick, the homeless, the ones away from a place of worship to continue to study The Torah and other sacred readings 24/7 and 365 days a year.
Peace,
Deborah Reply

I am not sure why you do not already attend your local shul on Shabbat, but I hope that changes for the better for you. Yes, I agree with you that Torah study at home is invaluable, but so is being in the physical presence of one's fellow Jews Reply

Deborah Lawrence, NJ February 3, 2024

Yea! 10/10; but with additional research for questions 5 and 6. For question number 5, I read the article, Ladies First by Yank Tauber and for question number 6, I reread the Torah sections for this week. Plus, doubled checked the order of the Ten Commandments. Thanks for the quizzes and the tricky questions to connect with Hashem.

Peace,
Deborah Reply

6/10 this week.
Disappointing in view that I got 8 last week.
Will have to swat up better next week foe Mishpatim. Reply

Stephen Cohen Givat Shmuel February 9, 2023

6/10 slipped up on the order of The Commandments and the construction of The Altar.
Down on my score last week!
Will have to 'brush up' for next time! Reply

Yes, It's important for me to learn the Torah, but it seems that who ever is managing your website either in Mongolia or India, does not take into consideration that a 77 year old homeless man, can not read as fast as young people can, especially when he has no glasses to do so. But listen, who am I to complaint about your website. As Hillel said: "What is hateful unto thee, do it not to thy fellow man; this is the whole Torah, the rest is commentary." With that said, I would Kindly request that you please follow the laws of Sabbath and close your website on the Sabbath Day of Rest. Thank you. Now I must ask Hashem to forgive me for writing on the Sabbath Day of Rest and I will Pray that G-d will forgive you for having a website open on the Sabbath Day of Rest. Yousef Reply

9/10. I thought for sure I would get 10 this week, but I didn't know the revelation at Sinai started in the morning. I learned something new! Thank you for these quizzes each week. Reply
