As First Secretary in the Israeli embassy in Moscow during the late 1950s, Aryeh Lova Eliav assisted Chabad's underground network in their mission to preserve Judaism in the Soviet Union. After completing his post in Russia, he had a private audience with the Rebbe, which lasted seven hours.
