A Drink on the Way

Nye Zhuritzi was a song sung at farbrengens by chasidim of Rabbi Dovber, the second Chabad Rebbe.

Its simple Belarusian lyrics, “There’s no need for worry, friends, when we arrive at the inn, there will be spirits,” conceal a deeper message of hope – the spiritual truth that every soul will eventually arrive at its intended destination and purpose.

The key, though, is to get there as soon as possible.
