Claim Your Inheritance

In Deuteronomy, the Torah is referred to as “the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob,” of which every Jew is a member.

Now, an heir inherits everything as soon as he is born, even though he may have no understanding of what he is inheriting. According to Jewish law, he still assumes full legal responsibility over his inheritance.

In the same way, every Jewish child inherits the entire Torah as a birthright. Yet what good is such an inheritance if it is never claimed?
