The previous section emphasized that the ultimate purpose of creation is that man perceive the wonders of Torah in a manner consistent with his own makeup.
Through the study and spreading of pnimiyus haTorah,וְעַל-יְדֵי לִמּוּד וַהֲפָצַת פְּנִימִיּוּת הַתּוֹרָה,
the teachings of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai,תּוֹרָתוֹ שֶׁל רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן בֶּן יוֹחָאִי,
in particular, as they have been revealed through the teachings of Chassidus,וּבִפְרָט כְּמוֹ שֶׁנִּתְגַּלְּתָה בְּתוֹרַת הַחֲסִידוּת,
which is a revelation in a manner that man can derive nurture from them, i.e., that they be presented in a manner that enables them to be understood and comprehended1גִּלּוּי בְּאוֹפֶן דְּיִתְפַּרְנְסוּן, הֲבָנָה וְהַשָּׂגָה,
to the extent that the mind of a person who studies becomes one with the teachings he studies2וְעַד שֶׁהַשֵּׂכֶל דְּהָאָדָם הַלּוֹמֵד נַעֲשֶׂה 'חַד' עִם הָעִנְיָן שֶׁלּוֹמֵד
[– this correlates with the concepts explained above with regard to the verse, “Open my eyes,”[שֶׁהוּא עַל-דֶּרֶךְ הַמְבוֹאָר לְעֵיל בְּעִנְיַן גַּל עֵינַי,
that the perception of the wonders of the Torah accord with man’s own makeup –]שֶׁרְאִיַת הַנִּפְלָאוֹת דְּתוֹרָה הִיא מִצַּד עִנְיָנוֹ שֶׁל הָאָדָם עַצְמוֹ],
we will merit the revelation of pnimiyus haTorah in the Ultimate Future.3זוֹכִים לְגִלוּי פְּנִימִיּוּת הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לֶעָתִיד-לָבוֹא,
In that era, not only will there be a revelation from Above, but also the awareness of spiritual truth will accord with the very nature of our material world,שֶׁהַגִּלּוּי אָז יִהְיֶה נוֹסָף עַל מִצַּד מִלְמַעְלָה אֶלָּא שֶׁזֶּה יִהְיֶה עִנְיָנוֹ דְּהָעוֹלָם,
as Rambam writes:4 “The occupation of the entire world will be solely to know G‑d…כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתַב הָרַמְבַּ"ם וְלֹא יִהְיֶה עֵסֶק כָּל הָעוֹלָם אֶלָּא לָדַעַת אֶת ה' בִּלְבַד כוּ'
The term Rambam uses, עסק, “occupation,” implies that “the knowledge of G‑d” will be the “business” of the world. Just as a businessman lives and breathes his business 24/7,5 so too, in the era of Mashiach, all humanity will be wholly occupied with the knowledge of G‑d.
as it is written,6 ‘For the world will be filled with the knowledge of G‑d as the waters cover the ocean bed.’ ”שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ דֵּעָה אֶת ה' כַּמַּיִם לַיָּם מְכַסִּים,
This will be manifest in the true and ultimate Redemeption, led by our righteous Mashiach;בַּגְּאֻלָּה הָאֲמִתִּית וְהַשְּׁלֵמָה עַל-יְדֵי מְשִׁיחַ צִדְקֵנוּ,
may it take place in the immediate future.בְּקָרוֹב מַמָּשׁ.
