Sarah: (a) (1803-1677 BCE) First of the four Matriarchs, wife of Abraham. Together with her husband, she was instrumental in converting thousands of people to monotheism. She was miraculously protected when she was abducted by the kings of Egypt and Philistine. She gave birth to Isaac at the age of ninety. She is buried in the Cave of Machpelah.
