Rabbi Joseph Telushkin recalls that when his father, who served as the accountant for Chabad Lubavitch, was hospitalized after a stroke, he received daily phone calls from the Rebbe’s office, inquiring about his progress. Shortly after his father came out of his coma, he received another call from the Rebbe’s office. This time, it was an accounting query. (1986)
