In the Beginning
Reb Moshe Chaim Sapochkinsky recalls traveling to New York in honor of the first yahrzeit of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, the Previous Rebbe. He was present at the historic event when a group of elder chasidim petitioned the Rebbe to accept the leadership of ChabadLubavitch, which the Rebbe had previously declined to do. (1951)
